Felipe Massa hopes Ferrari can improve even more in the remainder of 2012 season ? Formula 1 news
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has said that they can surely make further improvement in their car?s pace in the remainder of the 2012 Formula 1 season and hopes to perform well in the Japanese Grand Prix which is going to be held at Suzuka this weekend.
Massa has struggled in most of the races in the season until now and has faced immense criticism over his poor form. Moreover, he has been surrounded by many speculations that the Scarlet team is going to replace him with another driver after this season.
Even though, the Brazilian driver insisted that he earnestly wants to know about his future in his team, nonetheless, he asserted that he is focussing to deliver his best in the forthcoming races so as to make his mark stronger in this year?s championship fight.
?The best plan is to race without worrying about the future,? Massa said.
Presently, he is standing at 10th place in the drivers? championship with 51 points. Additionally, he is ahead of Paul di Resta of Force India and is behind Sergio Perez of Sauber. Although, he failed to score competitive results in the first few races. Nonetheless, he has shown some impressive performances in the last few grands prix due to which he has gained a lot of confidence for the approaching races.
In addition, he said that they have made some significant developments in their car since the mid-season test which was held at Mugello.
?The car changed a lot since the mid-season test in Mugello and we have developed it all the time since then,? he said.
Besides, he believes that they can still enhance the pace of their car if they continue to work hard.
?We have tested constantly, nearly always bringing new parts to the track at each race. The job is all about scoring one more point than the others when it comes to the final race and so I hope we can improve it even more for the remaining races than we have done so far,? he added.
