We may have to file bankruptcy due to a failed business (broken lease), but feel we may have a case and want to try to fight the lawsuit first. If we lose and get a judgment against us, then file bankruptcy, will our credit reports show a bankruptcy AND a judgment, or will it only show the bankruptcy? Trying to preserve credit as much as possible. Thanks
Thank you Spifiman?.would both showing, but the judgement be showing as included be worse on credit than just a bankruptcy alone? My credit score now is 800, so this is a huge deal for me to ruin excellent credit and I?m trying to do the best thing for my credit score. ( I have no other debt?only filing because of this potentially huge judgement)
