It's Samsung Galaxy S4 versus Apple iPhone?in a Samsung commercial?released this month in Iceland. While the Korean electronic giant doesn't explicitly state Apple's name, the message is pretty obvious as a man attempts to use a Red Delicious as a touchscreen smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S4 advertisement?is flaunting support for the Icelandic language in the flagship phone commercial. The commercial description translates to "Get a phone that understands you."

This is not the first time Samsung teased Apple in a commercial. A 2011 Samsung commercial for the Galaxy S II?poked fun at Apple customers that wait in ridiculously long lines for the latest iPhone model. IBN Live?notes that Samsung also released an advertisement?comparing the Apple iPhone 5?with the Samsung Galaxy S III. The ad states "It doesn't take a genius" and in a side-by-side comparison blatantly illustrates the Galaxy S III?as having more, better features than the iPhone 5.
In the latest Samsung Galaxy S4 commercial?by Samsung Iceland, the man ditches his apple (the fruit, though the insinuation is clear) for a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, leading to happiness and new ninja friends. Did the not-so-subtle smear ad work? Reactions in the comment section vary:
"Apple got eaten in a Galaxy far? far away"
"STOP putting your competitor down in your commercials! this makes only you? look stupid and childish.. you wanna stand out, then be CREATIVE!!"
"Apples? are for eating"
"Just proves the apple is one of the most recognizable brands in the world.?"
